“For every item that carries the darkness of humanity there’s one that holds the light. And that light is worth believing in. Not just in others, but in yourself as well.” ― C.M. Rayne, The Forbidden Land of Andara

Post Brexit blues and Donald Twunt, plus January skies…will need to look long and deeply, I feel.

So, positively now …All the family and and a fifth grandchild in a week or two. Walking with Sutton Ramblers has been enjoyable and discovering” new” places, albeit within a 30 mile, or so, circumference. Short break in Lisbon, planned for March. Allotment planting plan done for the Spring, seeds ordered. Good news that my sister, Penny, is joining Mac & I, for the final stages of the Via de la Plata, in May. Crossings booked from Italy to Greece & return , with the campervan, in July.

Have continued with Spanish conversation lessons, with Almudena, whose enthusiasm makes an early Saturday morning start, worthwhile. New music comes apace, but I have to confess to feeling a little out of touch, these days. But two gigs to look forward to. Quill in Lichfield on the 28th January and in February,Transatlantic Sessions , featuring Tift Merrit, at The Symphony Hall.

Not exhaustive, I almost forgot the removal of two trees from the garden, next month and hopefully being able to plug a leak in the pond!

Plenty to plan for , do and enjoy, then. Hope you all have, too.
